Baedeker Great Britain and Northern Ireland/With Map (Baedeker's Travel Guides)

Baedeker has good books to use as a reference, to supplement others you get. I got it very cheap thru Amazon. I generally like to get Rick Steeves, and add Baedeker only if I want a large amount of information.

This book is poorly organized, tediuous to use. If you want in-depth information and won't be using tour guides much, I prefer Frommer or Fodor; studying Frommer and Fodor for study before you take the trip makes sense, but I would not load myself down with them on a trip -- Rick Steves will suffice to carry.
