I wish someone had told me about this book earlier!
This book is perfect for anyone who is used to a vibrant cafe culture (especially like in New Zealand and Australia), and is having a hard time finding similar coffee and cafes in New York.
There are stories and pictures of about 2 cafes per NYC neighborhood, plus suggestions of other cafes that are of similar quality. I am half way through the book, and so far the recommendations have all been excellent.
