Oh my gosh! This book makes me want to pack my bag and head out to explore these haunts. Many of these haunts are not far from where I live and I am familiar with the one in Savannah, Georgia. What a great weekend trip! Harrison gives you a great history and enough information to pique your interest about these haunted sites! For an added touch, you can watch the Youtube videos to get an idea of what kind of frights you are in for! Get this. Use this as a awesome resource for your next trip!

Harrison Clancy's "Destination Frightville" is a must read if you like a good scare.
Even Stephen King checked into room 217 at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado for
inspiration when writing "The Shining."

"Destination Frightville" traces hauntingly similar stories of sightings in plantations, sanatoriums, state prisons, homes were murders occurred, and even a ship, The Queen Mary, in Long Beach, California, where apparitions appear in period dress as if time stood still at their death.

Clancy's book is a great resource for those considering a vacation packed with history and intrigue. Imagine the fall reports of children returning to school with an essay, "What I Did on My Summer Vacation." It's great fun.

Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated with ghosts, and this book does not disappoint. I was unfamiliar with at least half of the haunted destinations, so I found this book both valuable and intriguing. Overall I enjoyed the writing style and the many web links to addional reading material made the book a worthy addition to my growing collection of kindle books.
