This review is from: Insiders' Guide to Berkeley and the East Bay (Paperback) This guide, now a bit outdated, is useful but not outstanding. Over a two-month period I ended up reaching not so often for this book. First, I love maps, and this is definitely not a strong point for this guide. While most of the book focuses on Berkeley and Oakland, the author also gives some attention to "beyond the tunnel" -- the suburbs that are inland from O & B. This wasn't important to me, but could be useful as an even-rarer info source for folks who are looking to live in or visit...Read more |
