Product Review

Known as one of the best vacation spots in the country, Myrtle Beach is a thriving hotspot that features more than just sand and sun:  fresh seafood, alligator parks, jeep tours, a NASCAR SpeedPark, colorful nightlife, and an expanding music scene are just some of things travelers will find on South Carolina's coast.

This book is one of the worst travel guide books I have ever purchased. It contains, long, wordy text with very little useful information. Don't buy this book.

I bought this a few months before our trip to Myrtle Beach. It gave alot of vey helpful information, especially for someone who has never visited the East coast. Although I realize this was a guide, it would have been nice to have the photos in color. Also, be careful about the hours given in the book for area attractions. A few of them were off by at least an hour. Plus remember, there are millions of tourist guides once you reach the area, starting at the airport. They provide much of the same information as this book. However, if you like to get to know an area before you visit it, this is the book for you.
