This book did an excellent job of providing descriptions of cities and accommodations/eating in particular. I had this book and the Lonely Planet. I've got to say that I relied on Let's Go more so than the LP. LP does an excellent job of describing places, but in terms of finding budget food and places to stay, Let's Go is where it's at. Also, I found the information about transportation to be highly accurate -- at least as accurate as transportation information can be in CR. You never know when the buses are going to show up!
