This review is from: Michelin Green Guide: Paris, 6th Edition (Paperback) Unlike previous (ca. 1980) green guides, the current Paris green guide is a breezy disconnected mess with an extremely weak, if not arbitrary index. "Alice Toklas" indexed but not the Gustav Moreau Musueum??. Previous guides were lightweight, printed on bible paper with abundant historical info. I knew there was a problem when I read the book cover which crows, "Get awestruck by the Eiffel Tower"...Researching for a better guide. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Tom C. This review is from: Michelin Green Guide: Paris, 6th Edition (Paperback) The earlier editions of the Green Guide to Paris were much better than this one. The index is nearly useless due to its illogical listing of subjects. The stars allotted to sites are of questionable accuracy. The description and details of major attractions, such as Notre Dame, are woefully sparse. I can no longer recommend this Michelin Green Guide to Paris as a reliable tour book. |
