Just got back yesterday from my second trip to Los Cabos (the entire Cape region on the tip of Baja) in as many years. This is the book that helped me sort out what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Last year's trip we stayed pretty close to our all inclusive resort (Melia Cabo Real), but this year we ventured out on many day trips and activities (sunset cruise out into the Pacific beyond the Arch; sunset horseback ride in the Migrano area; kayaking from Santa Maria Bay to Chilena Bay and then snorkeling; snorkeling and beach day at Playa Amor (Lover's Beach); S.C.U.B.A. diving at Pelican Rock and Land's End). How can a reference guide be published that indicates the wrong locations for the "hot spots?" At first, we thought it was a fluke. However, when more than four locations were not where the book said they were, you have to wonder if the author actually went to the locations at all. In addition, the recommended sites (indicated with the moon symbol) in La Paz particularly were a joke. The author obviously had not visited them in many years (or, as mentioned above, at all). Finally, the writing really suffers. I don't think we will ever buy another Moon book.
