National Geographic Traveler: Vietnam, 2nd Edition
This review is from: National Geographic Traveler: Vietnam, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
I purchased this particular guidebook since it was not only the most recently published, but also a National Geographic publication. I just returned from two weeks in Vietnam and found this book to be seriously lacking in any practical travel information. Very brief descriptions of the amazing things to be found in this country. If you're going to bring a guidebook with you, keep looking.

Excellent photography and maps. Very nice job of highlighting what to see and do in Vietnam. Coffee table quality (for a small book). Not suitable as a detailed road map of course, but that's not the intent with this book. I mean who doesn't love National Geographics.
