This review is from: Rick Steves' Great Britain 2010 with map (Paperback) I had such a fun and fluid trip with Rick Steves' Great Britian 2008 that I rushed out and bought the 2010 edition to start day dreaming/planning my next trip back. It was my first time in Europe and I went alone for a month with nothing but the guide book and I had a blast! Thanks to the guide book it was totally hassle free. I got good deals on negotiating train tickets and bed and breakfast rooms by knowing the what, where, and why that a good deal was available (rather than just be an obnoxious traveller- an easier roll to slip into than I would have thought). The guide book taught me how to get around, how to balance cash use vs. credit cards, etc., etc. so I could feel comfortable to just relax and play my travel by ear. I can't wait to go back, and thanks in part to Rick Steve's I can afford to go more often or for longer trips because of all the money it saved me.
