Being devoted to St. John Eudes, lived around the 1600's I began an searching for every thing that I could find writen by this saint, who was called the wonder of his age. for many years his devotional writings were lost, and unknown to the world. but then occasionally a volume was then discovered here and there coming out of the dusk. and so the church was set on fire because of his holy and devotional writings. in was early in 1946 that we had begun to discover his books coming over from france this book is one of those (The Admirable Heart of Mary) the had change the world. He had brought about a new thinking inspiring the church with a richness in the devotion to Mary that even today lives on within the church.
I have never read anything so powerful, so pack with insperation and knowledge as this book.

The Admirable Heart of Mary is, by far, one of the greatest and most original works on the Heart of Mary that has been discovered in the great treasure chest of Catholic Spirituality. Published towards the end of his life, St. John Eudes composed this great work in order to defend the devotion to the Heart of Mary and thus meriting the opportunity to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist and of the Hours in honor of her heart.
Starting with an introduction to the Heart of Mary, and its merits for being called, "Admirable," Saint John Eudes uses Biblical, Patristic, Saintly and (his) contemporary Church Spirituality in order to defend the devotion and the cause to spread it.
Saint John Eudes was given the title of "Father, Doctor and Apostle of the liturgical devotion" to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary by Pope St. Pius X, who beatified Ven. John Eudes on April 25th 1909 and repeated on May 31st 1925, by Pope Pius XI on the day of his canonization.
